Read Psalm 91:1-16 and as you read the above scriptures I pray that the Spirit of God begin to rise up in you until you fully lay claim to the Word that God is speaking to you.

When you begin to dwell in the shelter of the Most High you will begin to dwell in the shadow of the Almighty. Quit giving the devil credit and begin to praise God. When we get in the shelter of the Most High we will sense His presence, feast on the Word of God, pray the Word, and exercise the faith that God wants us to have. The Word says "faith without works or actions is dead." Some are reading the Word but you are not putting action with your faith. Mark 16 says if you believe, you have authority to cast out demons. That tells me the devil is only as strong as you let him be in your life. Quit walking around depressed, down trodden, worrying about tomorrow; hold your head high and realize you are special in the eyes of God.

You have to be willing to find refuge in Him. God wants to be your fortress and cover you with His feathers so that under His wings you can find refuge. You can’t find refuge under the arms of God when you are doing your thing and not allowing God to be in control. Sometimes Christians think they know it all and don’t even realize they are allowing the devil to work through them or work through someone else to try and tear them down. James 1:17 says every good and perfect thing comes from the Father above. If something good is not happening, we need to start recognizing where it is coming from. It is not from God.

A forest ranger was going through some woods that had burned up and found a bird burnt to a crisp and still on a limb. He reached up and brushed the bird off the limb. At the moment the dead mother bird hit the ground the baby birds under her wings began to scurry around on the ground. That is the way God is with you. He will spread His wings and keep the fire off of you when you let Him. Even when it got hot the baby birds stayed under the wings. When things get hot for you do you stay under the arm of God? Start saying today or right now, God is my dwelling place.

Romans 8:35-39 (NIV) says we are more than conquerors through Christ that strengthens us. Begin now saying, "I am convinced" which is the thought from verse 38. God wants to command His angels to guard you in every way when you stay under His sheltering arms. When a dog comes toward you barking, if you run, the dog will chase and bite you. That is the way Satan does; he comes toward us and if we don’t run to Jesus he will chase you and try to tear you down. I say to you today, stand and stare at that dog that is chasing you and command it to go in Jesus name. Some of you have gotten used to being attacked and you just accept it. Today is your day to change that. Stand on John 14:12-21 and know you can do greater things.

I want to encourage you today to call the spiritual 911 because Jesus is on the main line and you can tell Him what you want. He is not too busy, He doesn’t have a headache, and He will never put you on hold. I preach this message from experience. I have learned to do battle with the devil and not run. I have an AWESOME GOD on my side, how about you?
